Oil Spill Nears Florida: Authorities Act to Contain Oil Spill: BP should really think of an oil spill solution that could really stop the oil leak from spreading into the ocean. Everyday that the oil spill is not contained, it spreads into the ocean. It all started from the Gulf of Mexico to Louisiana and now nearing Florida particularly in the shores of Pensacola as several oil sheen were already seen in the area.
With this new development in oil spill, Floridians are concerned as to the possible injuries that this oil spill will cause them. They are now calling BP CEO Tony Hayward to go to Florida to witness the effects of his company’s oil spill since he told earlier that the effects of the BP oil spill will just be “moderate”.
In addition, officials in Florida is now asking for BP to exhaust each and possible oil spill containment solution to finally stop the oil spill before it can damage any nearby coast. Currently, authorities in Florida are highly monitoring the oil spill in the form of tar balls, tar mats, oil sheen or mousse.
Huge amounts of claims have been made by several fishermen to BP for their affected livelihood. We hope that BP would finally come up with an oil spill solution that would put an end to this oil spill.
