For almost a week now, the super awesome torrent site Demonoid has been down. While others can still connect, they are still complaining because it’s terribly slow and the site is almost not loading at all.
It is not the first time for the site to went down. Last year, around September 19, the site went down after it was reported that they had experienced a number of computer problems stemming from power outages. The tracker returned to service on November 5, and the main site returned on December 13.
The site experience a major downtime last April 27, 2010. A day after, the site went back online but only a few can access it. While some can already access Demonoid, more and more users still can’t access the said website. Users has been seeking for alternatives to cover up for its absence.
It was also reported that Demonoid is experiencing DDOS attacks for the past few days. They are now facing a catastrophic hardware problem that will take a lot of time to fix.
All we need to do now is be patient and hope that Demonoid.com will be back online soon.

Not sure where the catostrophic hardware failure info is from, but I got the site to partially load and there message on there confirmed the slyck and torrentfreak articles that it was just a major DoS attack, they mentioned nothing about hardware.

Yeah, out of curiosity I went to the Demunoid site. What a joke! They got about 100 freaking torrents in all. Some substitute.
Demonoid.com is an amazing site. Ignore demunoid.com For all we know, they could be doing the DDoS attack to try and get people to use their own site.
Anyways Demonoid, we will be patient, quality is always the best route to go!

I’m logged on to Demonoid right now. It took a wee while to connect to the site but once you’re there you can navigate round and download easily. Indeed, someone has succeeded in uploading a torrent today.
