Sad news as it is, but that’s how life goes. Sometimes you’re at the top yet time will come that would really settle down. This has happened to British number Andy Murray who has been comprehensively outplayed by 15th seed Tomas Berdych in the day 7 of the 2010 French Open.
Their match was the fourth and last in Court Suzanne Lenglen. The weather hasn’t been that good since the start of the game and it just cleared 50 minutes after. It has not favored Murray at all. “It was slow, wet, damp conditions. It was just heavy out there,” Murray said. “But you can’t make excuses about the conditions. It’s exactly the same for the both of us. It’s just tough conditions to play in, and he played better than me.” he added.
The face of frustration of Murray didn’t affect Berdych’s play. “My coach told me when the match was suspended that Andy looked like he didn’t want to play. Maybe that’s his style, you know, that he wants to like make the opponent sleep or whatever… Whatever it is it didn’t work today for him, and I’m happy for it. I deserved to win.” Berdych said.
