The BP Oil Spill has caught great attention to so many people in the world and the damages from the oil spill are just phenomenal. The recent events in line with the oil spill has sent President Obama to cut his Memorial Day 2010 vacation on his hometown Chicago for an ocular visit on how the cleanup operations are going at the Gulf of Mexico.

Obama was initially criticized about choosing to miss the wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington, Virginia. Memorial Day has been one of the most-respected celebrations in the United States in honor of the people who served and died for the country. Missing the memorial celebration for a family vacation really drew lot of criticism, especially from the Republicans. The critics can however still review their judgement since Obama has also chosen to attend to a great task on the BP Oil Spill that has greatly affected millions.
