Obama was initially criticized about choosing to miss the wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington, Virginia. Memorial Day has been one of the most-respected celebrations in the United States in honor of the people who served and died for the country. Missing the memorial celebration for a family vacation really drew lot of criticism, especially from the Republicans.
